How to add up a whole column in Google Sheets

Right-click a column header and choose Insert 1 column left. New columns shift existing ones and usually keep relative formulas intact.

Steps

  1. 1

Click the column letter/number near where you want space.

  2. 2

Right-click → Insert column left or right.

  3. 3

Resize the new column if needed.

  4. 4

Check that formulas still point where you expect.
