How it works
- Create a free Better Sheets account. Your school email is easiest, but a personal Gmail works too.
- Enter your school email. I send a six-digit code to it.
- Type the code. Your membership starts right away and lasts 12 months.
To keep it after that, confirm your school email again. You're never charged.

Who qualifies
- Students at a university, college, community college or high school.
- Teachers, lecturers and school staff, including librarians and career advisers.
- You need an email your school gave you. Most work straight away:
.edu,.ac.uk,.edu.au,.ac.jp,k12.xx.usand more.
School email not recognised? That's common for school districts, and for countries without a school domain like Germany, the Netherlands, France and Canada. You still confirm the email with a code, then tell me your school and I approve it by hand.
Personal and alumni email addresses don't qualify.
For educators
If Better Sheets would help your students, you're welcome to share it on a class page, resource list, career centre page or handout. It's entirely optional. Nobody's access depends on it. Copy anything below and change it however you like.
Each student signs up with their own school email, so there's nothing to set up for a class.

What happens after 12 months?
Confirm your school email again and you get another 12 months. If you don't, your account goes back to the free plan. You're never charged.
Do I have to share or link to Better Sheets?
No. The membership is yours once your school email is confirmed.
Will you email my school address?
Only the verification code. Everything else goes to your account email.
I already pay for Better Sheets.
Nothing changes on its own. Your subscription stays as it is. Cancel from billing if you'd rather switch to the education plan when it ends.
