Selling Spreadsheets Course Introduction

I'm not gonna bullshit you through this course. 0:08 I have not made six figures yet selling spreadsheets, and you might not as well. I've made a few hundred dollars a month. 0:16 A month at times, a few hundred dollars over the course of a year. I've made a few thousand dollars making spreadsheets. 0:23 But what's really interesting, I think, is that there's always a spreadsheet within us, or actually within your Google Drive.

And I hope, over the course of this- this course, and these lectures, and these videos where we're gonna break down some existing land pages, we're gonna go from almost knowing 0:41 nothing, or you might have a spreadsheet in mind, or you have a spreadsheet already that you're like, I want to sell it, or even you already sell a spreadsheet . 0:48 In the first lesson, in the first course, in the first little section, we're going to go through sort of the mindset on why we sell sheets and what we might be bringing to it. 0:58 I'm gonna push you to add a little bit more, to add a little bit more of yourself into your spreadsheets than you might even think. 1:05 In the second section I will actually lay out sort of a framework or a blueprint of what you can actually sell. 1:15 These are going to be spreadsheets, sort of spreadsheet functions, spreadsheet sort of ideas.

And try to get you all of the knowledge that I have and transfer that to you about how to just literally think about building the spreadsheet . 1:30 So the first part is thinking about the sheet that you're gonna sell, then the second part is gonna be literally thinking about how to make it. 1:37 And how, where there might be problems everywhere you look, and also how to get out of your own head and into the customer's idea of what they're buying. 1:46 So that's really key here. In the third section, we're gonna make a spreadsheet .

We're gonna go in and dive in. 1:53 To curate things, I'm gonna show you how to essentially make like a machine that can generate spreadsheets. Like we're gonna use a bookmarklet which I've used to generate a ton of curated databases. 2:07 I'm gonna add a little bit of magic to your sheets with a little bit of automation that's not with Apps Script . 2:14 And we're gonna design a dashboard . We're also gonna add a little automation.

I'm gonna show you some pretty simple things to do in Apps Script that are gonna make your spreadsheets amazing. 2:25 They're gonna really, like, feel like they're automated and they might actually be automated, so watch that.

And then the next section we're going to go into sales we're gonna actually go through landing pages my theory on what makes a good landing page my theories and will also transcend sort of anything 2:42 you're thinking about because we're gonna share your your journey on on the sales page it's not sort of like an objective way to make a sales page I have sort of more a subjective way to make sales pages for spreadsheets and I'm gonna Key you in on probably the strangest secret to selling a spreadsheet 3:01 wait for that one The last section so the last section follows we've thought of a spreadsheet to sell or already have one We've created it. 3:11 We've added a lot of cool stuff to it a lot of cool features We put the sales page up and then the very last section is we're gonna market it where to market how to market it What marketplace is to go to we're gonna talk about Etsy gum road discover We're gonna talk about absolute marketplace, which  3:27 you might not have thought of yet, but I'm selling consistently there, you know dozens of dollars again, I'm not bullshitting you This is not like a six-figure kind of thing. 3:40 I'm not gonna promise you the world But I do have a little secret that I discovered from two six-figure spreadsheet sellers reading their journey. 3:51 I figured out sort of what's the common element in them and versus what do other spreadsheet sellers not do that they're doing really interesting and so we're gonna like I also in the marketing I just realized I'm also gonna teach you how to protect your IP which is very unique. 4:11 I think the way that I do it is very beneficial to the customer.
