So you're copying and pasting phone numbers into Google Sheets and you have this error , you have a formula parse error . Here's how to fix this error and why it occurs. So why is it occurring is because Google Sheets with a plus sign is thinking you're doing an addition and so it's going to automatically create an equation here or a formula and you're going to get a formula parse error . So how do you fix this? Select all of your phone numbers. You can do command F or control F, find in sheet. We're going to click these more options, three dots over here. Here we're going to select a equal sign and a plus sign. And we're going to replace it with nothing. We're going to also search within formulas. This is key because if without this we won't search within those formulas. Click replace all . Let's click done and see our numbers.
