So the D2 up here is literally just the number , and that's a total number of problems. 0:38 Like, you can change this number , and it changes here. So if you put 12, you see automatically it changes here. 0:45 So, how does that work? Well, the first part is I have. A sequence here. Sequence , I'm taking D2, the number of problems, and I just sequence out step by step down in a column. 0:57 So fairly simple sequence . But we're minusing one because we don't have to do the math. If you get all the problems correct, it's 100%. 1:05 And if you get them all all wrong, then it's 0%.

So we don't need to include those. But we do D2 minus 1. 1:12 Then we do column, we have a one column. And then we start at one and we step one. And that's it. 1:18 That's this part. Well, what's this part? I want to actually rebuild this from scratch to show you. So I'm going to delete this. 1:26 And there's two things going on here: a fairly interesting little formula , but also conditional formatting , which I'll show at the end. 1:35 So we're going to say equals. this minus this. 1:50 But we're then gonna divide, actually C6. Then we're gonna put parentheses around that and divide by D2. Okay, now that gets us the correct percentage. 2:03 But if we just stood there and copied and pasted down, you see we already get an error . First, we need to make sure the D two doesn't change, so we'll put dollar signs in front of the D, in front of the two. 2:22 And that gets us the correct answer. But if we copied and pasted this all the way down here, you see when we get nothing, we have 100%. 2:33 So we don't want that. Count First Digit of Cell

So, what we're going to do is first we're going to round, we're going to go to two places because it is a percentage, so it's going to be like 0.92, and then we format it as a percentage. 2:47 But then we wrap this. This round with if, and we say is blank C6 and two commas. If it is blank, we do nothing. 3:01 If it's not blank, we're gonna have this number . And we copy and paste that all the way down. So now is the fun part, the conditional formatting . 3:09 So, what I've done is actually I've colored the entire thing pink. And then in the D column, I go up to format , conditional formatting , and we have a value is greater than zero. 3:21 So only and only if the value is greater than zero do we actually paint it white. So it's funny how this conditional formatting is like popping into the pink, just like the actual Easy Grader is the cut out of it. 3:35 So we've painted it all. One color and then white in the middle. I just think it turned out that the digital version of the Easy Grader was sort of stylistically exactly how they made, like, physically made that Easy Grader. 3:51 I thought that was fun.
