0:00 Huge update to how big year works. Actually, I'm going to update it in this video and I'm going to show you why and what I've done.
0:09 So basically, I have added the settings tab. And I want the settings right now. The only setting is to set your weekends.
0:15 What is your weekend? Is it Saturday and Sunday or is it something else? Someone mentioned, they changed their weekends to Friday and Saturday because that's what they are in their world.
0:24 Roll. In their life. So, what you have to do, in order to change this at the moment, you have to go over to your custom formula of your conditional formatting and you would have to change the one to the seven, actually.
0:40 I already changed it here. Sorry. Let me look at this one here. Let's look at the check. There are two conditional formatting here and you have to change at the end.
0:48 This. So, what happens is, you have to go in each one of these and whichever calendar you choose, you may only choose one, but if you want to choose all of them, you have to do it for all of them.
1:09 Let's cancel. So, what I've done for tiny and mini so far and I'm- I'm gonna do the update in this video.
1:15 Is now on settings, all you have to do is change it on settings. So if we can do 6 and 7, which is Friday and Saturday, so weekdays are Sunday 1, 7, Saturday.
1:27 1 to 7. Let's go back to mini and now, uhh, Fridays and Saturdays are highlighted. Let's do, if you have- 2 different days, like you wanna highlight Mondays and Fridays, for example, that's 2 and 6.
1:43 Let's go back to the mini and there's your weeks, 2 to 5 and you have highlighted 2. And if you wanna change this back to 7 and 1, we now have the weekends highlighted.
2:01 January 3rd and 4th here, all the way through the whole year. So let's update this for big year, because there are 4 updates to do.
2:11 And also, this was a complete surprise to me that it's possible because when you google for or even chat GPT for, hey, I have a conditional formatting and I wanna reference another sheet, which is exactly what we're trying to do here.
2:24 We're trying to take our conditional formatting and reference another tab. It said it was impossible. It said, hey, this doesn't work.
2:32 But it does. And I'm gonna show you how. Go up to format. Conditional formatting. So each one of these, let's see, is 7.
2:43 So this has to be 7. We're gonna go to settings. Settings. Uh, C3. There was a problem. Conditional format rule cannot reference a different sheet.
2:58 Oh, really? Are you sure about that? You're sure about that? Let's go and fix that. Also, it's settings on seedings.
3:08 And we're gonna wrap it with indirect and put quotes around, and settings. Exclamation point C3. Quote. End parentheses. And did you see that?
3:21 It changed from red to now it works. Click done. So anywhere where there's seven, it's gonna be C3 where it's one, it's gonna be C4.
3:35 Click done. Seven, C3. Click done. Where it's one, we're gonna do C4. Done. And now big gear has been updated.
3:52 So if I go to settings and I go six, seven. Or actually let's make sure it's really apparent. Let's do two and five.
4:03 There it is. There we go. Monday and Thursday. Highlighted. So now, let's go back to seven and one. And this is just a single number and a single cell, but it has so much impact.
4:18 Really, really cool, right? Uh, I'm gonna update the rest of the sheets. That is the update for big gear. I'm so excited.
4:25 And- I hope you learned something, too, that you can, indeed, reference another sheet in conditional for writing, even though Google sheets itself says it's impossible.
