SlidesApp is the Apps Script service.
.appendSlide() is the method name you will see after a dot in your code.
What it does
Why it's used
- Add a summary slide at the end with this week's metrics.
- Clone a standard closing slide into every new deck.
Common errors
- Forgetting parentheses on appendSlide. Write SlidesApp.appendSlide(), not SlidesApp.appendSlide or appendSlide by itself.
- Skipping dots between chained calls. Each step needs a dot, like SlidesApp.appendSlide().
- Adding spaces where they do not belong. Write SlidesApp.appendSlide(), not SlidesApp .appendSlide(), SlidesApp.appendSlide (), or SlidesApp . appendSlide().
- Wrong capitalization. Use SlidesApp and appendSlide, not slidesapp or appendslide.
