How to Indent Google Sheets

0:00 Here's how to indent in Google Sheets . We have some tasks here and we want to indent some underneath, maybe some larger tasks that need to get done each week. So we might want to add a row here called Weekly, and we want to separate the other ones here. So one way to indent is just to go into the, into the text and add a space or two. Copy this. Over and over again. But there's another way we can go to format , text, number , custom number format , add a space or two or three, and add a at sign apply. And doing that, even if it's text, we'll add an indent. For everything that we apply this format to paste special format

0:48 only, and see now they're indented. Even this text. There's another way to do this, which I like to do, which is add a helper column . We're gonna add one column here. Now we need to go up to view show and uncheck grid lines for this because we don't wanna see those grid lines, but this daily, that should be not indented. What I'm gonna do is I'm gonna copy it. I'm gonna paste it right here, and so now everything under it looks like it is indented, and if we want to indent further, we can add another column and let's move these over. And maybe these over as well. And so we have some nice hierarchy here over on the left side. Hopefully that was super helpful to you.
