So in previous videos, I've shown you how to highlight the highest score on the leaderboard and the second highest score on the leaderboard. And this is the third highest score on the leaderboard. Go up to format and conditional formatting , and you're going to find this format rules . Over on the right side, we wanna be on our B column and our previous rule actually was the third highest. So what we're gonna do, I'm gonna start from the beginning. And actually remove this rule so that you can see how we create it. So we're gonna add a rule, this B one to B or B2B. That's the entire range we're going to apply to format sells. If our format rule is going to change into a custom formula , we're gonna start our formula with equal sign, we're gonna do B one equals large.

In parentheses, we're going to put in the. Area that we're looking at. So B2B and then comma, sorry, that was a B colon. B2B specific. Now if we want the largest number , we put a one second largest A two and the third largest A three. Then we end parentheses, you notice the red box turn back to blue, knowing we are correct. So we are just highlighting only the number here. If we wanna highlight actually maybe the entire row or a certain range , what we need to do is add a dollar sign to the bee and the inside of the large here. We need to put dollar signs in front of the bee that holds it because

we're gonna change something else. We're gonna change the range . We are gonna change this to a colon c. And once we click out of that box, you can see now on the left side that A, B, and C are all highlighted. That is because we've changed the range and we're still looking at the B column no matter which range we're in, because we put that dollar sign in front of the B. We're in the A column, we're looking at B. When we're in the C column, we're looking at B. Now if you wanna say, Hey, let's highlight the top three, not just the third. We wanna make B one is greater than or equal to largest. Notice that the hetero is highlighted. We can fix that by just adding a two to the range

and going down to B one and starting at B two. Once we change the range , we also have to change this formula to accommodate it, and now you can see on the left side we can actually change it A two to B.
