How To Color Code Rows Based on Drop-down Value

Here's how to color code rows based on a dropdown value. Here we have urgent, low, high, medium, and high. We wanna color the entire row . I'm gonna go up to format conditional formatting . We're going to apply to the range A, colon B, or however many columns you have, maybe C and format cells . We're going to change that to custom formula , and we're gonna go equals A one. B one equals urgent and instead of just the B, we're gonna add a dollar sign and we're gonna look only at the B column, and we're gonna change this color to dark red and it is now coloring the entire rope. Click done. Then add another rule. Again, apply to range a Z or whatever range you're looking for that has
all of the rows change format . Rules to custom formula is equals B one equals, and in quotes low, make sure you put the dollar sign in front of the B and change to whatever color you want. Click done and do this for each and every one of them so you can color the entire row and it's automatic. It's gonna change automatically. Pretty cool. I hope you enjoyed this video.
