How to Change Format Currency Settings

In this video I'm going to show you how to format currency and how to change that currency setting. So anytime we have a value here and we want to set it as a currency, we have this great button that says format as currency. It's next to the percentage sign here in your menu bar . And we can take any value, select it, click this dollar sign , and it's going to format it as a what if we want to change it to some other currency? This format as currency button is actually based on the locale . So we're going to go up to file. Settings and the locale right now is set as United States. In order to change it to a different currency, we need to change the locale where that currency is located. You'll see next to it here. This says this affects formatting details, such as functions, dates and currency. So let's change it to United Kingdom, save and reload. We will have to reload our sheet and you'll notice now that the United Kingdom has pounds so we can change our values very quickly to pounds. Let's see what else we can set it to. We can set it to something like Taiwan, save and reload, and you'll see we have a different currency here.
