What this does is deletes all of the duplicates. But what we want to do is we just want to find it. Maybe this is a list of signups and we want to know who signed up twice. There's other reasons why we might not want to delete immediately all of the duplicates. What I like to do is look for matches equals match the search key is the name that I'm searching for. Range is B colon B. Search type zero to get an exact match and it will find itself And this is what we want. We want 5, hit OK on Suggested Autofill . We'll see Cal Clay is 7, but it's on row 14. But we don't have to actually look through all of this. We can say match minus row. Now we have a bunch of zeros, except for where there is a duplicate.
