We are continuously bombarded with new apps that promise and demonstrate new fandangle flashy display and features, and that's great when they work. However, Andrew shows how humble Google Sheets solutions that are sometimes simple but provides real down to earth value and solutions to customers with common real world solutions to saved time and money by solving problems and improving their workflow. You can use this knowledge to build and provide personal or client solutions. He even shows you how to make money selling your solutions by turning Google Sheets into functional software apps.
Because this course of apps arise from Andrew's real-life problems and solutions he has encountered/suggested and solved using Google Sheets as examples in the course, I find there is sometimes great disparage from one solution to another, which results in fluctuating knowledge base needed to learn and used between courses which makes solutions and progress feel random at times. There are already so many great pieces of work to learn and draw upon.
My only humble suggestion for improvement for Better Sheets is now slow down a bit and take a step back and start filling these gaps to make a more smoother progression of steps in the user's learning experience. Now, turn it into a "dummies guide" and make it into a course for complete beginners from zero the hero, with structure that the next app builds on the knowledge gained from previous ones.
I genuinely think that this deal is worth more than he is asking for once you experience it from the inside. Andrew's commitment to the course content and users, he constantly strives for improvement. Google Sheets is an underrated solution that everyone should take advantage of by having some knowledge as part of their toolbox. I want to thank Andrew for what he has done, the community he has created, and sharing his love and passion for what Better Sheets can do for us.

This is one of the better investments I've made in the past 12 months. The lessons are easy to follow and your questions are quickly answered by someone that knows what they are talking about.
I've been creating training videos since 2008 so it is easy for me to tell when an 'instructor' is doing this to pass on knowledge or just to make a buck.

In my opinion, spreadsheets are amongst the most underused tools in technology, despite their prevalence. It isn't really that we don't use spreadsheets enough, but that we rarely use them to their full potential.
Every once in a while, someone shares a spreadsheet or template with you that blows your mind and leaves you thinking, "Whoa, I can do all THAT with a spreadsheet?!"
Andrew's course provides not just brilliant example of not only many of the amazing things that you can do with spreadsheets, but if you take the time to really listen, digest, and deeply understand the material presented in his videos, he also provides the ideas and inspiration to help you do new things with spreadsheets that you may never before have thought possible.

There are more and more appsumo deals that use Google sheets (spreadsimple for example) that I thought that this kind of training would not be useless. I was expecting a classic training with 2 or 3 bonus tips but I got much more.
The content is structured in the form of Loom videos and is very enjoyable to watch. The trainer is very enthusiastic and you quickly become too when you discover, thanks to him, everything that can be done with Google Sheets.
What also makes this deal totally amazing is that he regularly adds new videos, which are often the result of questions asked by the buyers of the course!
I asked him a question because I wanted to achieve something that wasn't covered in his videos and, after several hours of pulling out what little hair I had left, I thought I'd try to ask him for help. You never know, maybe he'll respond.

At first (wait for the switcheroo) I wanted to refund this because it was an accidental purchase. I realized I couldn't since it's a new type of product offered on AppSumo, a marketplace item. I was a bit bummed out thinking I just spent $20 on what might be another poor clone of information available in a hundred courses for sale.
However, after I checked out the content available, I have to say that this is an impressive purchase. The information available in these videos is quite robust and there are many videos which contain information that I had trouble finding online. Sure you can get some of these tutorials from other sources, but they aren't as good as these!

Since purchasing Better Sheets I have had some major breakthroughs. I first needed to learn google sheets for a personal project. What I have found is that this product has truly transformed my knowledge and in turn has changed my working life. I can organise, control, and automate so many things now. I used to think that I didn't need help with my Google Sheets skills and that I was good enough to pass on this deal. Then I as few reviews some people in my network, so, I decided to give it a try, Had nothing to lose that to realize that I already knew enough...

This may be my favourite purchase this year on Appsumo.
If you've ever wished there was an app that could do something neat, this guy has probably made it in Google Sheets and you can easily learn how to do it yourself.
There are so many great ideas in these tutorials. The short videos teach you how to do things that are already very useful as is, but with each technique you are also learning how to do something very powerful that you can adapt to all kinds of uses.
I've only watched about 4 of the gazillions of videos but each (9 min or so in length) video taught me something I will be using over and over again.

Dominating Google sheets will make you realize that you don't need half the apps you use.
Better Sheets is a compilation of short but insightful videos on how to get the best of the platform.

The sheer amount of value packed into this product for this price is unbelievable. I found the content of this product to be more like an idea generator than just some tricks to make you better at sheets. I'm already jotting down some new SAAS solutions as I dig into all of this content.
I'd been putting off this purchase for a few weeks because I didn't think I needed it but if you're doing anything with spreadsheets this product is worth a look.
One other thing I want to mention is that Andrew really does answer his emails.
The only thing I would ding Andrew on is his teaching style. I've found some of the videos a little hard to follow because it seems to me that Andrew is possibly thinking about multiple ways to deliver the info. I truly believe he knows so much about sheets that it's difficult to stay on track with one strategy because there may be multiple ways to complete any one task.
This product is a no-brainer buy.

I haven't even been through the entire library, but I've found so many useful tips that have saved me both time and money. The bookmarklet tip alone has helped improve my curation & creation workflow so much. I use it every day ahead of fancier (and more expensive) tools.
Andrew is a Sheets Wizard and keeps producing value for the Better Sheets members. He creates things that you don't even think you could have done in a google sheet. Thought Google sheets are for data only? He'll prove you wrong.

I am really enjoying all the great videos and the new ones coming out and highly recommend this deal. He uses great visual examples to teach and re-enforce concepts, some of which I was unaware that google sheets could do that are equivalent to functions I had enjoyed in Excel.

Better Sheets itself is a treasure trove of hacks and knowledge, and the new site, with search, makes it much easier to find stuff, though not perfect.
That said, the real value - as many people have already said - is Andrew, the creator's, willingness to respond to questions and offer solutions - often in the form of a loom video.
I don't think I've ever seen such customer success efforts before.
Of course, I doubt he can scale it if too many people ask him stuff, but certainly the value is immense for those that do get help - and the rest of us, as he'll then use those questions to help inform future training videos.
All in all, it's well worth getting!

With google sheets, there is no real competitor. It's free. It's powerful. It integrates with almost anything. The more you learn how to utilize it the more value it provides exponentially.

Don't let the small investment fool you to think that this isn't valuable. Andrew is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. If you have a sheet you have a problem with just shoot him an email. I had a problem I couldn't solve and he created a screen capture video of him explaining the fix and taught me how to do it.

If you use Google Sheets at all, you need this. "I only use the basics" you may say. Yes, but have you ever wondered how much time you could save if you just knew how to use it better? I thought I knew Google Sheets alright, but Andrew's on another level.
My only constructive criticism is I wish there were category views and I wish we could see what we've seen, or if we have to drop off of a video if we could just pick up where we left off. These are just platform issues and could easily change. Don't let this detract you from getting this, these would just be icing on the cake. It's worth every penny.

I always knew Google Sheets had great potential but I didn't have the knowledge to unlock it. Andrew's videos have been very helpful towards that and he's been super responsive to all queries.
The only thing that is missing is a better organisation of the videos. Right now it's missing a search/filter option. It would also be nice if the videos were tagged with different levels of difficulty or offered a learning path to follow.

Google Sheets integration is in almost every deal we have here on AppSumo, so I figure learning what it can do, and how to do it would be a very smart move!
I had no idea how much I could really do with Google Sheets. I already learned a bunch of new stuff! - very cool, my mind is buzzing with ideas on how to implement this.

I went to 1 spreadsheet course and it was not worth it. Basic stuff, waste of time.
I have seen the free video's and thought this might be worth it.
Yes, the website is fresh out of the oven and yes there should be alot of video's added to it aswell. But I have learned alot already (maybe a tip to share your examples so we can browse / copy the formula's).
Can't wait for more tips.
