Good Morning Google Sheets
Learn how to create a daily 'Good Morning' toast message in Google Sheets using a time-driven trigger. This tutorial will guide you through setting up the function and scheduling it to run every morning.
In a previous video I showed you how to log wake up time, but what if we were spending a lot of time in Sheets and we wanted to make a nice message that says good morning at 8 a. m. every morning, or at least between 8 and 9 a. m. every morning. I'll show you how to do that. Going to add a function up here called function good morning. And we're going to create what's called a toast message. Get the spreadsheet app dot get active. And here we're going to add a toast message. That toast message is going to just say good morning. How we actually trigger this function is going to be through a trigger over on the left side. Go to triggers. Bottom right, go to add trigger . Choose the function good morning. We're going to run it from a time driven event source and we're going to run it every day We're going to choose a time, in this case 8 a. m. to 9 a. m., and hit save.
