I made this Free Trend Tracker because I could not find a visualized representation of two or more wikipedia pages and their pageview trends over the last 5 years.
If I wanted to get this data I needed to learn how to use the Wikipedia Pageview API. I would have to learn how to use APIs and get that data into a structured format.
Google sheets solves my problems, and maybe yours too. It's charting feature makes it super simple to chart the pageviews over the past 5 years.
I made this template so you can see a chart comparing two trends immediately. Also you can see three trends in one chart. Combining these separate data points was hard, but Google Sheets helped so much.
Now with this Wikipedia Trends Tracker, you can immediately pick two or more pages on wikipedia, Enter them and see the chart of the last five years of pageviews per month.
