Here's how to highlight text in a cell. So you might be wondering, how do I make some text inside of the cell different than the others? Well, you can double click inside the cell if you want this Google Sheets to be bold, you can just do command B or command I on a Mac, or Control B or Control I. But you can also change the text color , so you might have already tried this, highlighting the text with your cursor and then going to background color . Highlighting, but it will highlight the entire cell. Well, you could just do the text as the text color , something like that. But just make sure you use text color and not background or fill color .

You can also click in the cell and up in the formula bar if you want to say the quick brown fox. Change this to something like Brown. It'll actually show you here in the cell down here. Jump down there. Hopefully that helps you highlight text inside of a cell. I like to bold it and color it.
