Description

Looks through a row or column for a key and returns the value of the cell in a result range located in the same position as the search row or column.

How To Actually Use LOOKUP() in Sheets

LOOKUP(search_key, search_range|search_result_array, [result_range])

In the range A1:A10, use the LOOKUP function to find the value in B1:B10 that corresponds to the search key in A1. The formula should return the value from B1:B10 based on the position of the search key in A1:A10.
